Senator Jim Webb got into a testy exchange w/ Bush, about Webb's soldier son, who is serving in Iraq...

.........Jim Webb (right), with his son.........President Bush and U.S. Senator-elect Jim Webb got into a testy exchange over the status of Webb's soldier son, who is serving in Iraq... [TJ commentary.]
The Hill is reporting... at a White House private-dinner just after the election featuring newly-elected-lawmakers, Bush asked Webb "how his son, a Marine lance corporal serving in Iraq, was doing." [Is anybody in Iraq doing well?]
...Webb replied to the President that he "really wanted to see his son brought back home."
"I didn't ask you that, I asked how he's doing," Bush replied.["Well, you don't have to get snippy!"]
Webb confessed that he was so angered by this that he was tempted to slug the commander-in-chief... [Not exactly a Daschle-era Democrat, eh?]
Senator Jim Webb is the Democrat who beat George Macaca Allen in the Virginia Senate Race. More on Bush whining, here, Herb.
UPDATE, 12/5: Bush was asked to be sensitive w/ Senator Webb if discussing his son, because his son was almost killed three days earlier. Brat & bully Bush stoked-the-fire anyways. Shameless!
