New Year's Eve, A Time For Debauchery, Intoxication, Reckless Abandon! (For You.)

UPDATE 1-1-07: Picture: Their names are Tina (blonde) and Eve (appropriately enough), they're visiting from Canada, and no you cannot contact them. Stop emailing us!...............Show me more-like-this.........
Enjoy... in moderation. Or is it "on medication?"
Hmmmph, Herb. -- ABOVE ALL, BE SAFE! --

We will be manning the phones here... Or monitoring the tsunami-buoys in the Pacific. Somebody's gotta stay "on".
[Makin' the donuts...] Remember the pdb!

Brutal Secular Dictator Who Pretended to have Weapons, Executed in US-Occupied Iraq...

The Sunni tough-guy who was neutered (militarily) in 1991, and who kept Iraq secularized -- ask the women & the Christians, if you can find 'em -- and kept secure the Iraqi borders -- ask I-ran and AQ -- the guy who stabilized the whole friggin' "Jenga" pile we call the Middle East, Saddam Hussein, EXECUTED, taking some Reagan (era) Bush-Cheney and Rumsfeld secrets with him. ['Convenient?]
Some Court in occupiued Iraq had hurriedly sentenced Hussein to the gallows a month ago... Happy New Year! Peace, Herb.

John Edwards 2008, Finally A Democrat With A Chance! [President 2008]

Edwards for President '08, campaign site:
..........."TOMORROW BEGINS TODAY!"Nice touch, making his announcement from the DROWNED RUINS of the Ninth Ward; Where residents-in-peril were ignored by Bush, &
then abandoned by Bush's FEMA
following Hurricane Katrina:
NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana (AP) -- Two years after his hopes for a Democratic takeover of the White House were narrowly dashed, former vice presidential nominee John Edwards said Thursday that he is making another run at the presidency...
We like him a lot better without the gum on his shoe: John Kerry... [Kerry-editorial]
Edwards isn't a "seat hedger," either....
He gave up his Senate seat to run.

To clarify, we don't specifically endorse Edwards, but we are relieved to finally see a "contender" for the Dems in 2008 who actually would have a chance (nationally).
As we've noted here before:

BARRACK OBAMA:
TOO DARNED YOUNG;
Be a US Senator,
for a little while;
Come back later!

HILLARY CLINTON:
She's just kinda...
Um, uh... Well,
She's perfect:
...for NY, Herb.

Will Bush STALL until January, then Announce a 2-YEAR PLAN To Leave IRAQ, So He Can Blame HIS MESS On the NEXT PRES.? --Who'll take over in Jan. '09?

The BLOODBATH & carnage is gonna happen... It's INEVITABLE, whether we leave tomorrow, or wait until we elect a new President. The Shyites are gonna slaughter the Sunies. Would Bush let Our troops keep dying over there (FIVE YESTERDAY!) and drag it out two-more-years? Just to pass the buck to the next guy? How could...? Is it possible President Bush is that selfish?
...THAT MUCH OF A WEASEL?We agree with the title above...
"But Iraq was going so well when we left?"
Right, Herb.

[UPDATED] Gerald Rudolph Ford, Nixon Successor, Husband of Betty Ford, Dies.

UPDATE: "Ford Disagreed With Bush About Invading Iraq" ["Embargoed" interview(?)] By Bob Woodward. --President Ford calls Cheney Iraq-obsessed & basically insane, after Cheney just gave a glowing statement on President Ford's passing.
And Bush just praised him too (while on vacation.), Ford calls him an idiot(~) for the Bush-Cheney "unjustified" occupation of Iraq -- which Ford says was not in the Country's interest(s)!

We are becoming fonder of the man, Gerald Ford, by the day... And an A+ to Woodward; for waitin' a couple days. (Cheney retracted his recent praise of Ford--just kidding.) We regret calling Betty Ford a drunk, below. Sorry.

President Gerald Ford, dead at 93 years old...President Gerald R. Ford pictured here, center, telling Don Rumsfeld(left) & Dick Cheney(right) how their "groovy" ideas (even then) were completely insane, let alone illegal...

We at the Juncture liked the man, Gerald Ford; He seemed humble, and we respected him for supporting his (drugged/drunken) wife, through the "rehab" years... God Bless, Herb.

Iraq-death-toll exceeds the 9/11 death-toll... IRAQ WAR has cost more LIVES than the TRAGEDY they EXPLOITED to get there...

This Juncture: Sadly and humbly prescient... In November of 2005, 13 months ago, WE ASKED:
Mightn't there be a problem (soon, God forbid) when the Iraq-death-toll exceeds the 9/11 death-toll? (~2800?) At that point, the FAKE WAR (Iraq) will have claimed more American lives than the NATIONAL TRAGEDY (Nine-Eleven) they exploited to get there...
"They" are Bush and his neocon Iraqi-wet-dreamers, who saw 9-11 as an opportunity to lie us into Iraq. Now it is true, and it is being mentioned on msnbc & cnn, but they don't see the "problem" yet, it seems. Ironic & sad, and sadly just more-of-the-same...

Good will to men (and women!), Herb.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

And, lo, the Star, which they saw in the East, went before them, 'till it came and stood over where the young child was...
Merry Christmas!
Peace on Earth?
Really, Herb.

CENSUS: Arizona Tops Nevada as Fastest Growing State [AP]

------------Click-pic for nice resolution----------Associated Press -- WASHINGTON (Dec. 22)
ARIZONA: It's not just for retired Midwesterners... ARIZONA is attracting people from across the U.S. ...at such a pace that it is now the fastest-growing state in the country, replacing NEVADA, which had held the crown
for 19 straight years.
Beautiful place... to visit, Herb.

SCIENCE: Cannabis Named America's Biggest Cash Crop...

"Cannabis is named America's biggest cash crop!" 19 December 2006, UK Independent
Marijuana is the most valuable cash crop in the United States, worth more to its growers than corn and wheat combined, according to a new report... that cites the US government's own figures. Decades of government efforts to crack down on both the cultivation and consumption of pot have had a counter-productive effect... since domestic marijuana production has increased tenfold in the past 25 years...
"Them's the facts, ma'm..."
We report; You decide(r);
The Marijuana Menace... "Reefers!" Drug-crazed youth ATTACK... with RECKLESS ABANDON! Mmmm, that's all... Naught else, Herb.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Because Jesus was a Jew, WE SING:
I have a little dreidel,
I made it out of clay,
And when it's dry & ready,
Oh dreidel I will play!

Oh, dreidel drei--

Oh, Bill!
Ruined it again...
Poor Baby Jesus, Herb.

The only thing that needed to be changed after 9-11 was the PRESIDENT & his ADVISORS.

2001: 1) President Bush had ignored warnings, from outgoing Clinton administration officials, to focus on threats from (Al Kayda) AQ.
2) Then, Bush DECIDED to not retaliate against AQ, once they were confirmed responsible for attacking The Cole in late 2000: "Weakness!"

The Bush administration considered terr'ism so-90's, so... Clinton! They were gonna build a missile-shield [Jesus!] and occupy Iraq already ("cakewalk"), then they'd colonize the world! [Oh God!] --NEOCON-POWER!

3) Then Bush decided to IGNORE the AQ hi-jack warning he got in August 2001...
[See previous Junture, here.]

HE STAYED ON VACATION (...FOR A MONTH!)
HE DID NOTHING TO WARN AIRPORTS,
TRAVELERS, OR F.A.A./SECURITY ABOUT THE WARNING HE RECEIVED WHILE ON VACATION AT THE FAKE-RANCH. [Total Dereliction...]

We did not need to grant Bush super-powers simply because HE FAILED! He blamed every govt. agency, for HIS TOTAL FAILURES:
We didn't need to revamp the FBI; 'Didn't need to restructure the CIA;
We didn't need bigger government; 'Didn't need a Dept. Homeland Securi-yadda,
What we needed competence before Nine-Eleven!(Condi!) And after(Bush, et. al.)!

The Bush notion of "pre-nine-eleven thinking," means before 9/11 in Bush's first year only... Clinton didn't have a "pre-nine-eleven" (Bush) mindset. Bill Clinton would NEVER have stayed on a vacation and ignored a specific, actionable warning like Bush got on 8-6-01, "UBL Determined to Strike Inside U.S."
JESUS CHRIST ALMIGHTY!
So... Can we just, like, have a do-over?
Didn't think so, Herb.

"NO CONTEST, YOUR HONOR," We plead, re: previous-post.

We'll be back-to-business,
after serving our sentence:
Judge Joe found us GUILTY:
Bush admits we're not winning. Gates is in Iraq. Kerry is in Damascus. Of course, the media is obsessed with a 20-year old Miss USA partying her brains out in NYC instead of 20 year olds getting their brains blown out in Iraq. Pathetic. We're at war, remember?
We're sorry: 'Making fun of underage-drinking & global-warming, Herb.

Tuesday, December 19, 2006

Global Warming? ...She Is Hot!

P-P-P--PARTY GIRL!!!
(Prince song? Or somethin'...)

[Now 21 years-old... !]
Miss USA, Tara Conner:
She went to Manhattan; underage-drinkin' & partying w/ other people -- Donald Trump, owner of the pageant (His own personal meat-market?), got mad. He wanted some; "'long as she was givin' it away!"
Trump told her it's: 1)rehab, or 2)"dinner-with-me..." 'Else you'll lose The Crown!

She's goin' to rehab! Poor Donny, Herb.

"In Farewell, Rumsfeld Warns Weakness Is 'Provocative'," NYT. [Ronald Dumbsfeld, "Weakener."]

UPDATE: At the event pictured/referenced below, Vice Pres. Dick Cheney insulted the audience's intelligence, and called Rumsfeld ~"the best Defense Secretary in the history of the United States..." [?] Got that Georgie? Oy!THANX FOR NOTHING, DUMMY!
New York Times:
WASHINGTON, Dec. 15 — Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld bade farewell to the Pentagon on Friday... and said it would be wrong to regard the lack of new attacks on American soil as a sign that the nation is safe from terrorism...

"Today, it should be clear that not only is weakness provocative," Mr. Rumsfeld said, standing at a lectern with President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney at his side, "but the perception of weakness on our part can be provocative as well."
Simile time: Isn't that like the blacksmith warning horseshoes against getting hammered?

Can you believe Dumbsfeld has the nerve to warn against "weakness," after HE and DICK and George Jr. have cripled us militarily and have done so quite publicly. Don't let the proverbial "door" hit you on your way out, Dummy!

Shameful and embarrassing -- The Bush Administration. HYPOCRITES and LIARS don't always understand IRONY, when they're mired in it. ...Unfortunate for many, Herb.

DOMESTIC SPYING - Still Illegal, Continues Under Worst President EVER!

From the Associated Press:
SAN FRANCISCO -- Federal agents continue to [illegally] eavesdrop on Americans' electronic communications without warrants...

Why would anybody trust THESE GUYS, these self-serving political hacks, to EXEMPT THEMSELVES SECRETLY from the LAW or the CONSTITUTION?

They've screwed up EVERYTHING with their poor-judgement, failed-policies, proven-dishonesty, and bad-decision-making(see post below). Spoiled Georgie, who never had to follow the rules before, expects the rules to be set-aside... Again. ["Daddy?" Again?]BUSH'S N.S.A. eavesdropping-program is specifically ILLEGAL BY STATUTE, and generally ILLEGAL BY THE U.S. CONSTITUTION.
It's a big "F.U." to Citizens, Judges, Voters, Congress & Taxpayers -- everybody!

Let's hope Bush learns a lesson, from the Courts & Congress next year. --Nap-time, Herb.

President Bush, self-proclaimed "DECIDER," has NOT BEEN MUCH of a DECISION-MAKER WHEN WE HAVE NEEDED ONE! [Damnit!]

President Bush, the self-proclaimed "DECIDER" in-chief, is NOT much of a Decision-Maker when THE COUNTRY NEEDS ONE! He sucks badly.

CASES IN POINT:
1a) August 6th 2001: The President was on extended-vacation "clearin' brush" at the-ranch in Texas, when he got a Presidential Daily (intelligence)Briefing titled,
"UBL Determined to Strike in U.S." which warned of planes being hijacked domestically;
1b) BUSH "THE DECIDER" DECIDED TO STAY ON VACATION & DO LITERALLY NOTHING in response to the HIJACK WARNING. --- NINE-ELEVEN ---

THE NINE-ELEVEN ATTACK(S) CAME A MONTH LATER.
Staying on vacation, and not even telling The FAA about the warning(s) HE RECEIVED; That was a BAD DECISION! [DEVASTATING.]

2) President Bush (at ToraBora) DECIDED TO OUTSOURCE CAPTURING THE ENEMY -- the cavemen-leaders who organized the Nine-Eleven attacks -- to a group of corrupt tribal warlords in Northern Afghanistan... They got away! ...BAD DECISION! [Duped by cavemen!]

3) Bush The DECIDER decided to let the neocon "crazies" from the Nixon administration RUSH US into an OCCUPATION-WAR IN IRAQ.
The extent of this disastrous
rush-to-war DECISION...
deciding to lie about it, etc., still stuns us daily, but definitely seems to have been: ANOTHER BAD-DECISION. [DISASTROUS]

4) Bush the "DECIDER" decided the best way to catch the SAUDI CAVEMEN, living in Afghanistan (or Pakiestan), who attacked us on Nine-Eleven, was to TAP YOUR PHONE CALLS...Constitution be damned, BUSH DECIDED TO VIOLATE CITIZENS' RIGHTS, AND BREAK THE LAW! [Pending... but we say:]
...BAD DECISION! [DISGRACEFUL!]
It goes on-and-on with BAD DECISION-MAKING BY THE "DECIDER..." Our President!

THEN TODAY, BUSH SAYS, "I'M NOT GONNA BE RUSHED INTO MAKING A DIFFICULT DECISION..."
President Bush... vowed not to be rushed into adjusting his strategy and gave little indication that he intends to... (change) his war policies...
"We're not Going to give up. The stakes are too high and the consequences too grave," Bush said after meeting at the Pentagon with the Joint Chiefs...
:::
Bush said he was considering a wide range of options he has heard during a week of consultations, while rejecting ideas "that would lead to defeat."
President Bush just doesn't get it: There's no "difficult decision" to be made, just an URGENT one! HE LOST the war in Iraq! It's just a matter of WHEN he'll get our TROOPS OUT!

BUSH HAS NO SENSE OF URGENCY!
"BAGHDAD IS BURNING while the
PRESIDENT FIDDLES,
" said
Chris Matthews yesterday.
Amen damnit, Herb.

"REPUDIATED:" Bush had to look it up in the dictionary... twice. [repudiation]

After the election, five weeks ago, Bush had to ask a White House aide to look up the definition for the word, "repudiated," as in "voters repudiated Bush..."
From Merriam Webster:
REPUDIATE -- re·pu·di·ate
Pronunc.: ri-'pyü-dee-ate --verb--
(REPUDIATION --noun--)
1) to refuse to have anything to do with...
2) to refuse to accept; especially:
...to reject as unauthorized...
3) to reject as untrue or unjust...
4) to refuse to acknowledge...
5) to terminate (relationship);
...to separate from formally...
[Etymology: Latin "repudiatus/repudium;" from... rejection / shame]
Then, after the Grownup Study Group's Report was discussed in the news, just the other day, Bush asked the same White House aide what the word "repudiation" meant... As in, "...was a repudiation of all Bush's policies."
That's funny mang, Herb.

Oh-ho Ho, WE GET MAIL!

What a great gift idea! I hope there's some of these still available...
The monkey-mail perps were arrested... [?]
Thank you for your patience! From, Webmaster.

Yeah we remember: Bill Clinton was a President, damnit!

The world loved us, or him, when he was President...At least insofar as compared to
the chopped-liver, whiny little brat,
frat-boy faker president we got now -- the guy SELECTED by five activist-judges in 2000, despite the ELECTION that year...

Yeah, now you gotta fake an Aussie accent when you travel to Europe, just so you don't get beat-up by soccer-hooligans... Eh, mate?
[This was Part 2, in our effort to combat monkey-mail.] Thank you. Later, Herb.

Remember when America had a strong President who was truly PRESIDENTIAL?

We do... Strong, smart, respected, yet humble... "presidential."
President William Jefferson Clinton...

He didn't make us look weak, and didn't embarrass us overseas... unlike some later Presidents (who'll remain nameless here, out of respect for the office.).

Editorial note: We've received a lot of monkey-mail lately from right-wing-fanatics. 'Don't like our "content," they say... They've tried to crash the site thrice...
So, this post is for you (them)! You little techie republican bastards!
EAT IT!!!

The Failed Bush-Cheney Civil War In Iraq Could Definitely Use... "A Little More Cowbell."

A little Blue Oyster Cult / SNL humor;
For what-ails-us, Herb.

The Iraq Study Grownups' Report -- Will Bush accept/admit he was WRONG, WRONG, WRONG?

Well, God bless 'em over at Media Matters! Apparently they read the whole thing...
The Iraq Study Group Report...

The Report's 160 pages ['available at amazon.com, where it's ranked #3!] Media Matters has an article here, listing some Report criticisms of Bush's failed Iraq war... stuff the mainstream-media hasn't covered much, yet...
1) Pentagon's underreporting of violence in Iraq: --For example, on one day in July 2006 there were 93 attacks or significant acts of violence reported. Yet a careful review of the reports for that single day brought to light 1,100 acts of violence...

2) Lack of knowledge regarding insurgency and militias: --After three-and-a-half years in Iraq, the United States does not have an adequate grasp on "the political and military threat to American men and women" stationed there...

3) Shift of troops from Iraq to Afghanistan: --The report discussed... the importance of the situation inside Afghanistan and the renewed threat posed by the Taliban... The situation in Afghanistan has so deteriorated that U.S. troops currently in Iraq may have to be diverted back there...4) Lack of Arabic speakers: --All of our efforts in Iraq, military and civilian, are handicapped by Americans' lack of language and cultural understanding...

5) U.S. considering extending National Guard and Army reserves deployments: --The commission devoted considerable attention to the conflict's detrimental effect on "Army readiness." ...The Army is "now considering breaking its compact with the National Guard and Reserves that limits the number of years that these citizen-soldiers can be deployed..."

6) Spending on Iraq war is subject to little scrutiny: --"The public-interest is not well served by the government's preparation, presentation, and review of the budget for the war in Iraq..." The commission highlighted the administration's persistent use of emergency supplemental appropriations requests to "circumvent the budget process..."

"IRAQ Study Group" releases its long-anticipated REPORT on Bush & Cheney's FAILED Iraq MESS

Americablog journalists were busy today, reporting on the I.S.G. Report and the mainstream-media's coverage thereof. I've listed some quotes below, all from today's Americablog posts / articles...
It sums up how Bush's Iraq-war is going, & what the Iraq Study Group's report concludes.
~~The war in Iraq is already lost...
~~"The situation in Iraq is grave and deteriorating..."
~~[T]he war is over, we lost...
~~10 American soldiers were killed in Iraq today...
~~[I.S.G. Report was a] total repudiation of the Bush strategy...
~~One thing is clear: The
Bush strategy is a failure...
~~[T]he report is a total rebuke
of Bush and his failed policy...
~~Bush has engaged the U.S.
in a losing war...
~~[W]e are in serious trouble
under his leadership...
~~President [Bush] is being told... that his entire Iraq strategy is a disaster...
~~Bush's war of choice
is a complete failure...
~~It's a complete rebuke of Bush...
~~Iraq is the biggest blunder in US history...
~~[Will Bush] finally admit he was wrong and that his war of convenience is a failure?
~~[T]he war is essentially already lost...
'Seems "FAILURE" is a recurring theme, Herb.

ANOTHER BUMPER-CROP OF AFGHAN-OPIUM TO POISON THE WORLD, COURTESY OF BUSH / CHENEY. ...THANKS GUYS!

More Bush-Cheney DISASTER & DOOM...
For the WORLD to deal with, tomorrow:
In addition to a 26 percent production increase over past year -- for a total of 5,644 metric tons -- the amount of land under cultivation in opium poppies grew by 61 percent...
----wiki-image----Unfortunately, some US troops serving in Afghanistan will probably come home junkies... (Drugs taste good during war.)
'Another war the troops won, or were winning, then Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld screwed-up and LOST! Badly.
Worse-comes-to-worst w/ these guys, Herb.

[PERMANENT OCCUPATION] Bush Says We're Not Leaving IRAQ "Until The Job Is Done..." WHAT JOB??? Which "job" is it now?

"...until the mission is complete..."
THE TRUTH IS THERE IS NO "MISSION" LEFT IN IRAQ. EXCEPT TO STAY, AND... PROVIDE FREE SECURITY FOR HALLIBURTON?
BUSH & CHENEY HAVE BEEN LYING FROM THE START ABOUT WHY THEY SENT OUR TROOPS TO DIE IN IRAQ. THEY WANNA STAY THERE! (OIL... ?)

CHENEY'S PARASITIC-WELFARE COMPANY, BROWN & ROOT
[A HALLIBURTON SUBSIDIARY], HAS BEEN BUILDING PERMANENT TROOP-BASES THERE.

BUSH AND CHENEY WILL KEEP SAYING WE HAVE TO STAY AND "FINISH THE JOB," WITHOUT EVER HAVING LEVELED WITH THE PUBLIC ABOUT WHAT THE "JOB" IS...
THINK ABOUT IT:
1) THE TROOPS WON THE WAR WHEN THEY CONFIRMED THERE WERE NO WMDs.
2) THEY WON THE WAR AGAIN WHEN THEY CAPTURED SADDUM-HUSSEIN.
3) THEY WON THE BUSH/CHENEY WAR, AGAIN, WHEN IRAQIS ELECTED A DEMOCRATIC GOVT. [THINK: PURPLE FINGERS - TWO IRAQI-ELECTIONS].
4) ETC., ETC., ETC.,

THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION HAS LOST THE WAR: THEY CONTINUALLY CHANGED THE MISSION, THE "JOB," TO THE POINT WHERE NOW, VICTORY IN IRAQ IS IMPOSSIBLE...
-STABLITY - A PLACE THAT'S BEEN UNSTABLE SINCE PRE-HISTORY.
-UNIFIED, & SECULAR - GOOD LUCK, NOW!
-TERR'IST-FREE - THE ONES WE ALLOWED IN?
-ISRAEL-FRIENDLY - RIGHT, THAT'LL HAPPEN.THEY LIED, AND THEY LIED, AND THEY LIED. THEY THOUGHT DEFEATING IRAQ WOULD BE EASY BECAUSE CHENEY KNEW IRAQ WAS NEUTERED MILITARILY IN 1991, UNDER BUSH SR., AND THEY THOUGHT OF NOTHING BEYOND THAT, IT SEEMS. THEY OPENED THE BORDERS, AND PULLED THE LYNCHPIN THAT HELD EVERYTHING TOGETHER [THE BRUTAL-SUNI-SECULAR-DICTATOR WHO ACTED LIKE HE STILL HAD A CAPABLE MILITARY.], AND NOW IT'S HELL!!!
GOTTA GO, HERB.
